Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign...how many do we need? ...can less be more?
In DATE The Outdoor Circle encouraged the Hawaii Legislature to put the kibosh on allowing billboards to mar Hawaii's beautiful natural land-and-sea-scapes. The Kauai Outdoor Circle also worked with the Kauai County Council to establish a sign ordinance to ban off-site advertising signs and reduce the clutter on our highways and byways. The organization continues to work with our governments to meet the needs of information and advertising signs in our towns while keeping our communities clean, green and beautiful. The Kauai Outdoor Circle advocates for good governance and helps inform and educate the public about state and county laws and best practices regarding signage.
The Outdoor Circle in Hawaii maintains a list of Exceptional Trees throughout the islands and Kauai Outdoor Circle maintains a list of exceptional trees on Kauai. Nominations for the exceptional tree list are reviewed by a group of qualified arborists to determine if they are added to the list.
